A rare breed of Creature, the Light-breeds are a strictly defensive group. Before attacking and before dying, they release an enormous burst of light to blind the foe. They are the only creatures with a skin ranging from cream to transparent. This is also the only way to identify a Light-breed.

A cream coloured dragon with a hawk-like head, Lightwaves are named so because of their combat move- a brilliant blast of light designed to induce headaches. The Lightwave's wings are silver on the interior to maximize the light it produces and is so powerful, it is like staring in to the sun on an untouched snowy plain at point blank. A flightless dragon, they travel in herds of nineteen or more and often attack as one. They are unaffected of their own light, as they see in a 'darkvision'.

A distant relative of Pankeru, Olikeru, are the land version of their seabourne cousins. Adorable, kind and carefree, these creatures don't harm anyone that doesn't strike them first. At first glace they look like a squirrel/rabbit chimera, but they are all natural. With squirrel paws and tail and rabbit everywhere else (face, ears and torso), they are an agile race that is known for their colonization of the Demon Archepelago and their skill in the Maltrujis Racing Coliseum. When they enter society (which is quite often) they are often entertainers, waiters, but never seamen/seawomen.

Crickelos are huge white creatures with the amazing ability to produce massive amounts of electric energy at will. Highly offensive in battle, these creatures exist on on areas with heavy storms or places with conductor metals. They don't eat, but instead absorb light through their backs, which is a dark blue colour when not 'charged'. The eyes are on stalks and allow it a 360 degree view of the terrain to find oncoming storms. There have been no successful attempts to tame these 20 foot tall behemoths.

Not the same as the Earth breed, Fireflies are hive-minded beetles of Crios that live in underground tunnels. Even if the name is misleading, the firefly can fire a small beam of white-hot light at an opponent. This is the beetle's only weapon and is used only to intimidate foes. Fireflys are the size of sarab beetles and are identified by the perpetually glowing shell.
