Barrelex looked around from the ledge in his room, the wind blowing his hair in his eyes. He sighed in boredom and left the balcony to head for the inn. He snatched his leather purse and headed for the door, only to be greeted by a young student, eyes nearly ready to burst into tears.. "S-sir... could you give me access to the library? i need a scroll, but that mean lady won't lemme in!" Barrelex looked helplessly at the child's big brown eyes. "Let me scry the library first...just to see if you're lying." he said calmly. Motioning for the boy to enter his book-cluttered room, he went towards the pool of water made for scrying. He put both hands on the water and put the thought of the library into his head. Barrelex looked at the boy and then back the water with a smirk on his face. "Nice try....Now tell your friends by the door to get back to their classes or else i'll summon a dragon as a tutor. An old boring one..." The boy looked in horror and fled down to the library doors to his friends. Barrelex could only chuckle as he saw their horrified faces run out of sight and down the hall.

ooc// lol, yes, this is where we post. Well, here or the other two places. Depends on where you want your character to start off...
In the soft, warm grass just outside of Triliment City's limits laid Kai, his eyes closed, though he wasn't sleeping. His cold hand grasped a small chunk of bread, which he was debating whether or not to take a bite out of. The light breeze played with his hair, tossing it about his face. Kai grumbled in annoyance and pushed his hair back with his free hand. With a reluctant sigh, he opened his eyes and placed his hand back onto the grass. Kai rested his arm across his stomach, still holding onto the bread. The wind threw his hair over his eyes once more, but Kai ignored it. The fading sun cast shadows over his eyes, and Kai sunk into sleep....almost. When he was near asleep, he felt a slight tug in his hand. The first time, he dismissed it, assuming it was just his imagination. But the second time, he knew it wasn't fake, because his bread was missing when he opened his eyes. Kai sat up and his eyes darted from side to side viciously, demanding a glimpse of his theif. Behind him he heard the light 'thapping' of feet tapping the ground. He spun around, and saw a blue colored, waist-high goblin scurry off. The corner of Kai's lips twitched into a crooked smirk, seconds before he darted off after it, leaving all his posessions behind him, with the exception of his sword. "You son of a bitch! Get back here!" he yelled angrily, then sped up into his swift and agile dash. Within seconds, he was behind the stupid little creature, and sliced it in half. The goblin cried out an ear-piercing screech before it fell to the ground and died instantly, releasing the bread from it's grasp, sending the loaf into the air. In a fraction of a second, Kai caught the bread, only inches from the ground. Kai stared at the bread with annoyance, then brushed off the areas of which the goblin had touched. When he was positive all areas had been cleared, Kai took a bite, then walked calmly to his equipment, picked up his belongings, then headed on his way to Triliment City. After all, he needed to find a place where he could refil his flask of gelwine. Kai had never been to triliment City before, so he wasn't sure of how many people he would be around. It was apparently the Capital of the Southern Nation, so he would have alot of avoiding to do...

Lynn was sitting at a bench, zoning out at the table. Everything was quiet. Except for the chatter of others, and then suddenly a voice hissed in her ear. "Hey there baby girl what’s going on?" whispered a male voice. He slung an arm around Lynn. In just a second, the boys face was being stuffed in dirt. One arm being held painfully behind him and the other outstretched and being stepped on firmly by the teen girl. He cried out in pain and alarm. Some people stopped to stare. Lynn didn’t care. No boy touched her. No one ever did without getting severely injured.
Every fiber of her being wanted to crush his skull but she held back the urge to kill in front of all the other people around her. She was just innocently sitting outside the inn. Not really wanting to do anything. Besides she had a target tonight so she was mentally preparing. 'Baka...Who does he think he is?' She thought bitterly.
"Let go, you crazy bitch!" He swore. This is only got a painful tug to the left. He let out a grunt of pain. Lynn tilted her head at the male. 'Could he really be this weak? What’s wrong with him? In this place, its kill or be killed. Hmpth and I thought all men were trying to be strong.' She thought. 'Could it be him? Or just me?'
Lynn was sitting on his back and was able to lean down and whisper something in his ear. Her voice low and quiet yet so very dangerous, almost laced with poison. "Say another word and I will rip this arm right off…" She warned.
He was about to say something but was actually wise enough not too. She waited. Seeing if anything was going to happen...Once she was sure he wouldn’t say another word. She let go and began to walk off. The white haired female had only taken about three steps when she felt a hand brush her shoulder and some angry swearing.
Lynn whirled around. He was about to throw a punch at her but with her speed, it looked like he moved in slow mo. She brought her knee up and hit him painfully between the legs. She never looked down at him as he slid to the ground, moaning in pain. Lynn began to walk away once again.
She heard whispers from the other students as they watched her walk away. Some glared at her then went to help their fallen friend. Others seemed to not really care. Some laughed at the fallen boy. "My god how stupid can you get?" One said to the boy on the ground. "No one ever touches her like that..." He laughed and watched Lynn walk away. The ornamental feathers in her snow white hair moved slightly in the wind as she walked. She wore a navy blue and white tank top. A black sweater tied around her waist and a black messenger bag slung lazily over her shoulder. She wore black combat boots and Capri’s. Several belts things clipped on one side to the other in a crisscross pattern, laid gently on her slender frame.
Lynn sighed and disappeared around a corner. She stood against the wall and slid down slowly and slumped to the ground. She sighed and felt boredom and tiredness wash over her.

With a soft sigh, Taylin tosses a small bag of coins into the air. Her left hand darts ut and snatches it mid-fall. She slips the bag into a pocket hidden within her coat. She hadn't gotten any good jobs in nearly a month and houses she hadn't already hit were just as scarce. At least ones that were even worth the effort. Another sigh slips past her lips and she turns from the window of her rented room. She was starting to get sick of all this wandering and staying at an inn or in a field. It was about time to settle down with a house of her own. Of course that would mean having to stop thieving, but she was fine with that. She really didn't like harming other people anyway. A small smile flits across her lips. At least her secondary form of income was still going strong. She slips her hand into the small pouch attached to her belt and draws out a dull silver coin. The markings that would have indicated the coins maker had long since faded away. She flips the coin once and slips it back into her pouch. It was time to make some more money. She ambles out of the inn, in search of a good game of dice, or at least a game of cards.

Barrelex started heading for the inn with a tired look on his face. Looking at the glowing streets, he could only think of what to order at his haven. When the inn was in sight, he took a look to his left. The Emerald Tube was beside him and he saw the city people enter the market for their needs. At last he had reached the inn and passed a girl leaving the place only to hear in the bar, what sounded like a fight. He pulled up his hood so that the dracomancer crest showed and entered reluctantly.

Kai walked slightly dazed and disorientated into the city. The sudden burst of lights everywhere confused him slightly, which plunged him into his impaired state. "I'm definitely not used to so many lights...I hate cities..." Kai suddenly felt a wave of insecurity wash over him; these lights made it seem like he was in a spotlight. Hell, even the ground glowed.
Kai glanced around himself nervously, trying to find some sort of pub, bar, inn...somewhere that he would be able to buy more gelwine...possibly buy himself a drink...or two...
A few meters to his right, a light shone in his direction. Kai's arm raised instinctively, shielding his face, but through squinted eyes, he saw the light was only coming through an open door. Relaxed, his arm returned to it's regular place beside him. He saw a guy put on a hood and walk into the building, while a girl passed him. Above, he saw a sign that read, 'Bordo Inn'. Kai raised his eyebrow slightly. "Well, this didn't take too long to find..." Kai sighed, then began to walk forward, only to bump his shoulder against the girl who had just exited. Kai looked at her, his face unreadable.
"Uh...Whoops," he said sarcastically. "Damn, I hate it when people get in my way like this..." Kai threw one last glance at her. Her blue eyes seemed to almost glow in the light streaming out of the Inn. She had elven ears, both of which were pierced, and a black collar that appeared to fit snug around her neck. Kai rolled his eyes at her, then turned, heading into the building for his destination.
Inside, he noticed the room was large and round, with a fairly large reception desk sitting about 2 meters in front of him. Behind the desk was a fair-sized restaurant, which actually took of most of the room. On either side of Kai (who was in the doorway) sat two doors. The one to his left had a sign above it, reading,'Bar'. The one on his right read, 'Lodging'.
"Are you lost?" questioned the lady at the reception desk. "You look tired. Why don't you stay in one of our rooms? We still have a few available. That sounds like a good idea. You should do that." The lady smiled a brilliant smile, flashing a perfect set of white, straight, even teeth. Kai stared at her funny, taken aback by her random friendliness.
"Uh...thanks. I'll think about it." he answered casually, now turning to his left and approaching the door. He rested his hand on the doorknob, and slowly opened the door...
A burst of warm air overwhelmed him, and the strong scent of alcohol filled his nose, and the yelling of people around him. "Are people arguing...?" Kai ignored it, and headed over to the bar counter.

Lynn sniffed the air. Sometimes being a lycan had its uses. She smelt that sickening male coming her way (lets call him Sean shall we? ^-^). Along with a few other people. Possible to try and gang her. She growled silently. Hearing their foot steps loom closer and closer. At what seemed almost an eternity, Sean reached Lynn. He glared down at her. Lynn glowered right back. A few larger males loomed darkly over him. Possibly some so called 'friends' of his. She glared at them as well.
"You're gonna get it now Bitch Queen..." Sean put a emphasis on bitch. Seemingly hoping it might affect her. Sadly, it didnt. Sean said some more little pretty sentences. Lynn slowly got up. She was about two inches taller then him. His 'bodyguards' flinched at her sudden movement. They shifted, as if trying to get in a good position to attack. Lynn stared into Sean's eyes. A sly smirk spread across her face. Sean's upper lip twitched. She smirked some more. Lynn glanced at the other guys behind him. The glared. Sean clenched his fist and brought it up to get her in an uppercut. Lynn moved her arms to block his attack. She grabbed his fist. One of the males behind Sean threw a punch at her. Lynn moved backwards swiftly, dragging Sean with her. She pulled his arm down roughly, his head looking at the ground. He didnt like wear this was going.
One of his friends came up beside her and punched her, she had no time to block. Lynn was hit in the shoulder, having successfully moving her head and blocking with her shoulder. Lynn was forced back by the blow, she was still hanging firmly onto Sean. Her back hit the cold wall behind her. She pulled Sean in front of her as a shield. Pulling out a sharp dagger from a pouch on her leg, she held it to Sean's throat. So badly wanting to tear out muscle and tendons from his thoat. With diffculty, Lynn refused. But this might be the last time to ignore her sadisic desire.
Sean's friends stopped and watched was she glared from behind him. Her warm breath resting on his skin. She also resisted the urge to bite him there and now. She brought her mouth close to his ear. "Do you wish to die? Leave me alone...make your 'friends' leave me alone. And maybe....I'll let you live. If not...I kill you...here and now...along with them." Lynn hissed out the word. Then continued. "Then no one will ever know of this little incident." She hissed.
She pushed him away, but with the pressure if her blade on his throat bleed a thin red line. Lynn smirked. As he glared at her and walk away. His friends hesitated. Then followed. Lynn looked at them disappear and she grabbed her bag then run out of the scene.

Taylin stares after the man who had just bumped into her. A quick flick of her wrist causes a six inch long knife to appear in her hand. She normally would have put that knife in the offenders back, but she forces herself to stop. She didn't need another dead body in her wake. She had started to like this town and didn't want to run again. Sighing softly she flicks her wrist sending the knife tumbling into the wall of a neighbouring building. She watches the blade quiver for several seconds and then vanish. She wanted to make sure there was no evidence of her staying her. She turns on her heel and walks towards the nearest bar. She didn't want to stray too far from her lodging, but didn't want to work the inn's own common room too hard while she was staying there. She slips into the bar and immediately notices a game of dice taking place in the far corner. A small smile splits her face. She ambles over, pausing only to order a mug of tea, and slides into an empty seat. Several of the players glance at her suspiciously until she pulls out the bag of coins and tosses it onto the table. The older players smile wickedly and explain the rules, a rather simple game she had known since she was ten. She plays for several tosses, coming up even every time, and quits. Her luck was apparently not at a high tonight. She tosses back the last of her tea and gathers up her money. It was as good a time as any to return to the inn. She would get something to eat and then call it a night. She walks back to the inn and enters the common room, skirting the beginnings of a brawl. She takes her place at a small table concealed by shadows in a distant corner. Giving her order to the waitress, a useless gesture as the woman already knew what Taylin would order, Taylin leans back in her chair and tosses her cloak over the back. As she adjusts the long knives strapped to the small of her back, she spots a familiar face among the crowd. The man who had bumped into her was at the counter. A wave of anger flashes through her and swiftly recedes. She really didn't want to get into a fight, though she was having a good time watching the one she had avoided coming in. If there had been anyone she trusted she would have placed a bet as to who the last man standing would be.

After a second glass of gelwine, he looked around at the fight going on. A group of males running with their tales between their legs, and forgetting to close the pub door. He looked through it, hoping to see if a musical group would come in. It was Saturday after all. A group of 3 hooded men did enter, but with glowing bags. He put down his drink, put a finger on the wine's surface and put the front desk into his mind. He made the scrying spell look at their faces; white slits were in where the eyes were supposed to be..and the leader of the trio pulled out a white flame from his pack... "Oh ....Shit." he whispered to himself and paid the bartender. Of all the damn times, in all the damn places! he thought to himself. "EEEYYAAHHH-GLUK!!!!" came the scream from the front desk. There were Effigies in the inn......

Kai had just ordered glass of a blue, swirly alcoholic drink when some random person sat beside him, ordering the same thing.
"Hiya." Said the over-friendly girl. Kai looked over at her, throwing her a why-are you-talking-to-me sort of glance.
"Uh...right. Hi..." he responded awkwardly, looking at the bartender, hoping he would hurry up with his drink. Did he really have to swirl the two colors to precisely...?
"So what's your name?" She pressed, obviously trying to make conversation. Again Kai looked at her, but this time, his face displayed annoyance. She had long blue hair, and aquamarine eyes, and looked too young to be in the bar. She still had that childish, round face appearance most younger teenagers have..."Well? what's you name?" she repeated.
"Is it really any of your concern?" he replied some-what rudely, but he was really getting annoyed with this kid...
"Yes." She replied absentmindedly.
This really pissed Kai off. He narrowed his eyes at the stupid girl. "No, it isn't any of your fucking concern. Just get lost and leave me alone, 'cuz guess what: Stupid children like you are the ones I like to kill." he said, with ice in his voice. The girl stared at him with astonishment and fear, before she stood up and slowly walked away, trembling all the while.
Hearing the clank of his glass in front of him, Kai turned to see the bartender giving him an odd glance. "What? I don't really kill little kids..." he murmured as he drank a large portion of the drink, numbing his mind for a second, but it cleared instantly. He then took another huge gulp, the tingling sensation swept through him for a second, then faded. "Man, I SO needed that..." he thought, and was just about to take a third swig, when a loud scream sounded, and not too far from him.
"What..." Kai stood, heading to the source for some further investigation. When he got to where the scream came from, he noticed immediately the effigies. Kai approached them, showing no trace of fear in his eyes, simply because there was none within him. "Yeah, finally!" he exclaimed, excited to finally be able to kill something with a little bit of competition, rather than useless things such as goblins...
Kai drew out his sword, approaching one of the stage-two effigies. "Hey," he said, to get the effigies attention, right before he sliced the Effigy in half with a swing of his kick ass sword, then swung it around him to slice through another. The stage-two effigies were always the easiest to kill, considering they were always in the form of some other random person he didn't know, so he had no worries. But he had never gone up against a type-one effigy, so that should turn out interesting.
After the second Effigy fell to the ground (cut in two), Kai smiled and focused on the smaller ones. "These guys will be easy. They can't even defend themselves! How pathetic." Kai jumped up and stabbed down into the unsuspecting Effigy, which shrieked and died instantly. A low swing, and it sliced through three of them. Kai stood up straight, satisfied by his kill. Though he had a feeling there were more.
"Kai..." Kai spun around to look behind him, and there was a woman, smiling beautifully at him. Kai narrowed his eyes.
"Who the hell are you?!" he questioned in a demanding tone. The woman stared in slight surprise at him, then smiled happily, taking a few steps closer to Kai.
"Oh, don't be silly. You know who I am. I'm your Mother." Kai stared at her oddly. "I have no idea who this woman thinks she is, but I don't know her." Kai rolled his eyes and a smirk raised his lips.
"Yeah right." Kai raised his kick ass sword into the air, and swung it down, splitting the Effigy that claimed to be his mother perfectly in two. Kai's smirk faded away as he began to walk off, feeling another humans presence. "I fight alone," he reminded himself, as he sheathed his sword and backed up.

Taylin looks up from her plate as a loud scream echoes through the room. A group of men entered the building. She stiffens slightly and tilts her head to the side. there was something not quite right with these beings. She couldn't quite put her finger on it, but it was there. She continues to study the creatures as a single man wades into their midst and begins to decimate them. She nods approvingly and starts to turn back to her meal. Movement catches her and she glances up to see another of the creatures attempting to sneak up on the sword bearing man. While she didn't know the man except for the brief incident at the door, she couldn't just let him die, despite the flash of anger. Grumbling softly to her self, she twitches her wrist, conjuring up a trio of daggers. She launches all three of them in quick succession at the creature, dropping it. She leans back in her chair and eases one of her long knives out of its sheathe. She had a distinct feeling that she would need them before long.

Although Barrelex looked unarmed, he wasn't. He always came here with 3 spells just in case... He stopped in his tracks. There was a lone man up against the dozen effigies- well, 8 now..and all at stage 1. He whipped out a summoning spell and started to enact it when he felt a burning sensation in his head. He dared not look up because he knew that he was being scanned. "Barrelex? What are you doing here?" Barrelex immediatly knew who it was- his recently deceased father. "Come on, now. Don't you want to see your father?" said the effigy, "I'm not one of them it's alright." Barrelex shakily looked up to see a perversion of the face; the fangs, the coiled tongue, the hypnotic white eyes.... Stunned at his own actions Barrelex moved closer to the Creature, and put his arms up, as if to get a hug from it- and exposing his heart. The effigy's hands bulged, started to tear from their skin compartments and exposed the bone claws that did the opening of the skin, and pierced his chest. "FINALLY!!" the Creature screamed, and out came the sickingly long tongue covered in drool. The claws pinned down his arms and sunk into the wood. The tongue crashed into his wound nearest the heart and opened inside to reveal a tube which began sucking out his fluids.Barrelex could only scream in agony and terror, hoping that he would get a savior and live to return to the Academy....but he had little hope.

Taylin's attention is drawn to a man being pinned by one of the creatures. She wasn't sure what was going on, but she wasn't about to let the man get hurt. She stands on her chair and catapaults her self over the table, flipping in mid-air. As she lands her long knives are out in an instant. She goes into a quick whirl, slicing down a nearby creature, and leaps at the creature holding the man. Her left blade punches through the side of its head and out the other side. She slashes to the side, dragging the creature away from the man. Her other blade whips across to sever the creatures neck. She flicks the head off the knife and turns to another of the creatures that was rapidly advancing on her, taking the form of her father as it approached. A small smile flits across her face. "You think a trick like that'll work against me? I can kill my father and feel nothing over it." She lunges forward with her right hand knife, piercing the hand reaching towards her. The left blade arcs after the right, slicing the creatures face in half. She slides back to the injured man's side and slides her long knives back into their sheathes. She flicks out a pair of throwing daggers and begins to launch them at a pair of the creatures. Each one takes half a dozen of the small blades into its chest, before finally falling.

Lynn heard screaming and shouting from the inn she had only shied away from. She hesitated. Should she help? She heard a terrible cry from a creature within. She sighed and ran to the inn. Bursting through the door, seeing the horrible creatures she was slightly familar with. One of the eight there looked at her...She glared back. But seen Barrlex screaming in agony. A werewolf against one of those horrid creatures.
Lynn swiftly made her way to Barrlex. She felt movement behind her. One of them were going for her. She growled softly. Lynn turned around, her slightly bloody dagger in hand. But with this little weapon there was no way she might win. But she had hope. The monster began to scan her. But what can it find her heart? There was no loved ones. Except....
Too late. She saw him. The one that she had admired for so long. The one that gave her the horrid burden she carries today. The very one she had to kill.
Lynn saw her dead brother in front of her. "K-kuro?" She muttered. Everything seemed to shatter around her. Her perfect world of seclusion and loniness. Gone. In that split second she saw her brother. "Kuro!!!" She screamed and ran to him. Lynn was greeted with a such a pain, it made her first change seem like it was nothing. She screamed as the claws of the effigy pierced through her. Instant regret hit her. Why? was all she can think of at the moment. She felt herself getting drained. Her head and body hit the floor with a thud. She was numb, her throat was dry from the screaming. Was she screaming?
Lynn looked at the other dead people. Her life was draining away from her. She felt it... 'Please....help me..' She thought to herself. 'Asking for a dead person to help. What the hell is wrong with me?' She thought.
