Taylin tilts her head slightly and almost let's out a laugh. It had been the clumsiest dodge she had ever seen, but apparently it had worked. she was pretty sure that Denkou was indeed one of these Gyouten. Whenever she got any where near him she got a weird feeling, similar to the one she got when around anything unnatural. She really didn't care that much, just as long as he didn't try to kill any one. She sighs softly and returns to her work.

Aleyah walks along in silence, muttering softly to her self. She was having a little trouble casting her spell while walking, but it was getting there. If her guess was correct it'd be ready in a matter of seconds. As soon as the thought flits from her mind a dark swirl appears before her. It quickly coalesces into the figure of a robed human. This was one of the few spells she had created that wasn't totally destructive, instead it was a messenger. She quickly relays her plan to the shadow messenger and sends it on its way to find the mercenary.

A short distance away from the port of Nuchu Jarek's ship, Bladesinger, floats aimlessly. She had just reached the area and the crew desperately needed fresh food and water, but something kept the captain from heading to port. Jarek, pacing his quarters slowly, turns his head towards Nuchu and let's out a frustrated groan. He was certain he had seem something this morning, but it had been dark and he had just woken up. He wasn't willing to risk his ship and crew, but they would starve out here, before long. He grinds his teeth together and strides onto the deck. He begins to shout out the order to head for port, but to keep weapons within reach.
The sleek black ship slowly slides into what remained of the port of Nuchu. A scream tears Jarek away from his quarters, where he had been contemplating a massive dose of whiskey, an up to the deck. He let's out a low whistle as the sight of the destroyed town assaults him. He had been rather fond of Nuchu. He clenches his teeth and places one hand on the handle of his katana. He turns towards the helmsman. "Take her in slowly. Everyone else, keep an eye out for survivors. Though there won't be many." The last part he says to himself, barely above a whisper.

Now officially bored out of his mind, Kai looked out toward the rising sun. It sent streaks of red bleeding into the cloudless sky. Since it was still morning, it was a tad dark outside, but not so much that people would be tripping over themselves or bumping into each other, although, Yuki would bump into people in broad daylight... Kai's blue eyes quickly darted to the side, where he heard someone moving. He leaned over to see who was awake now, and his eye twitched at the sight of Cane emerging from the GUYS tent. "What...the hell...was SHE doing...in there..." he said quietly to himself, before slowly pulling back to sit properly on the rock. Kai closed his eyes and flopped back to the rock, which he regretted soon, considering her hit his head on the rock's surface when doing so.
Kai sat back up and rubbed the back of his head where he hit it. Retracting his arm for inspection, he noticed a drop of crimson liquid on his fingertips. He frowned at the sight of it, and wondered how such a smooth rock could give that kind of damage. Pushing the thought to the back of his mind, Kai twisted his body so that he was lying on his stomach instead. Lazily, he began chipping off some loose bits of rock that just so happened to be in front of him. He was tossing them carelessly behind him, and was trying to see how much bits of rock he could get off. [He's obviously bored... >.<]
He soon stopped as one of the rock bits he threw didn't make a regular noise of a rock hitting a hard surface, but more of a 'thump'. He spun himself around then did an army crawl to look over the other edge of the rock, and he realized that the rock he threw hit Saige. Considering she was the only soft surface around, and she wasn't all that far away, chances are, it hit her. Maybe not, but since he didn't want to take that chance, he slid back out of Saige's view. He thought it would be funny if it DID hit her in the head or something, although if she started complaining about it later on, then he would probably have to murder her.... to make her shut up, that is.
After realizing he was putting WAY too much thought into this, Kai spun himself around again, then shuffled back to the rock-chipping area, and continued uselessly throwing rocks behind him as he chipped them off. Kai noticed Lynn walking away from the group, and he stopped chipping away. "Where's SHE going?" he wondered, before continuing at the rock half-mindedly...

Honestly, Denkou was a bit disappointed at Barrelex's lame response. He was probably just trying to save his hide. Denkou shook his head slowly, before cutting away at the meat that he was basically instructed to work on. He found it odd how Barrelex had stated, "...and cut that leg properly. Don't want to lose another teammate..." It was rather unclear as to what exactly he was referring to. "...lose another teammate." Was he trying to say that they already lost one? Was he doubting Denkou at being assigned such a simple task? Whatever he was talking about, Denkou simply dismissed it as unimportant, and continued quickly cutting the meat with easy precision.
He heard someone walking from a tent, and just out of lame curiosity, he looked through the corner of his eye. It was Cane. Thinking about last night, Denkou lowered his head a bit, so the his silver hair covered his eyes. An almost unnoticeable pink hue covered the apples of his cheeks.

Akume raised an eyebrow slightly at Giblo's actions, and the top corner of his right ear twitched a bit. It was a clever move [sort of], but Giblo's constant whining was still pissing off Akume. He sounded like a 5-year-old [in the whining department...], and in the half-dog demon's mind, that was something that would not be tolerated here. Punishment? Death. Akume was already in a bad mood today. He hardly got any sleep in anticipation of the following day, and at about 6 am, sleep finally took over him. Hours later, he woke up on the wrong side of the bed [literally], resulting in him falling off, hitting his head on his night table and getting a headache. That pain was further increased when he opened his eyes, as it was way too bright in his room. He shot up quickly, and hit the top of his head on this night table, increasing the pain even further. So he now had the pleasure of walking around with a migraine. Lovely.

Occ// Sorry I haven't posted for a while... I was kind of busy...
Saige felt a sone hit her on the head. " Oww.. that kind of hurt... Who on earth threw that..." she muttered to herself. She looked around and her gaze caught the sight of the rocks. Frowning curiously she headed towards it. And guess who she found.... Kai, looking at Lynn. Slowly she walked back to where she had stood earlier. Taking the rock that had hit her she threw it with accuracy to where Kai was making sure that it would hit him somewhere. Then quickly she headed towards where the others were gathered.

Adrian groaned and got up slowly. He wasn't much of a talker... more like a listener. Getting up he got out of the men's tent and as he sat up he saw Cane getting out. " what on earth is a woman doing in here?" he thought. Shrugging his shoulders he knew it wasn't his business. He walked out and headed towards where Denkou and Barrelex were and as he walked towards them, he also noticed Saige walking towards them as well. He nodded his head in acknowledgement towards her before turning his attention back to Barrelex and Denkou.

Raven opened her eyes and looked out. She saw that it was still early morning. Turning she tried to get comfortable once again. But she found that she couldn't, so instead she just got up and she accidentally tripped over Lexis. She yelped and almost fell but having quick reflexes saved her from falling on her face. Cursing softly under her breath she got out of the tenet and headed to where the others were heading to. Which was towards Barrelex and Denkou.

Meera sighed and studied Akume from the corner of her eyes. " Relax, don't bite my head off, I was just saying. I know that you know..." she muttered. " Hey Gib... I think our leader is going to loose his temper soon with your whining..." she said to Giblo. Narrowing her eyes she looked ahead. The others slept, but as for Meera she hardly slept anymore. Sometimes she did, but not always. Sometimes she could go for many weeks without sleeping. She stayed outside and studied her surroundings very carefully. She hopped on one of the highest rocks and looked out. She was careful not to be seen. She layed on the rock and stared at the sky and watched some of the clouds go by.

Nexus gritted his teeth against the pain in his leg. " Im ready for you this time, Damn fox"
with that Nexus quickly grabbed a sleeping dart from his pouch and jabbed into a meaty section of Yukis shoulder. "That should work instantly for a fox." Nexus said with some relief and began trying to pry Yuki's jaw from his leg. "Maybe you should try to reason with the fox Nexus. As I do recall you can communicate with animals." Dragogale offered. " Well. With this thing I dont think you can reason with it."
"Did you try?"
"I dont think so....... Hold on let me think....... Nope I got nothing."
"See there you go" Dragogale finished. He scanned the camp from where he was, it appeared that things were moving pretty slow. He rememered about Shade, then began to look his out. He found him wondering around the camp being nosy.
Nexus finally got Yuki's jaws free from his leg and he inspected the bite."Damn, this is the deepest bite shes gotten into me. Why cant she try to bite somebody else besides me. Why not you." Nexus complained. " Because she'll break her teelth on my scales itdiot. Now wheres my pipe?hmm. Never you lazy ass Ill get myself."
Dragogale slowly got up stretched and walked slowly to camp while Nexus tried to fall asleep.

Barrelex leaned in towards Taylin. After planting a kiss on her cheek, he pointed out Cane leaving the boy's tent to her, though she probably already noticed.
"They're pretty much like us, right m'hael?" He asked the elf. Barrelex scooted twice over, until he was sitting next to the assassin, and rubbed her cheek with his. "What do you plan to do with the organs?"

Dionica looked out at the falling tide, the black ship catching her eyes. She quickly reset the three blades into a single blade, and shone it towards the light, hoping it would reflect and catch the sight of the Bladesinger's captain, Jarek. She owned the sailor an explanation on the town's assailant, and hoped to hell that those warriors would arrive soon. And with Nezumi in critical condition...

Taylin blushes slightly and bites her lower lip in an effort not to giggle. She nods and slides her knife back into its sheath after wiping the blade off on the elk's hide. "Close enough, though I think we were a little more subtle about it." She leans into Barrelex and rests her head against his. "I was planning on giving them to the dragonets. It might keep them off of our food for a little while."

Jarek looks up from his post at the prow of the ship just in time to catch a flash of light. He signals to his crew to stir the ship in the direction the flash had come from. Unless he missed his guess, Lady Dionica had been staying at one of the inns in town. If luck was with him, she'd still be alive. As his ship nears the ruins of the inn, a feeling of relief sweeps through him. That had been a close one. He would have been in a lot of trouble if he had returned to Maltrujis without its queen. He had been sent to escort the War Queen and to return her safely to her country, all on pain of death. He signals for his crew to drop anchor as he steps off of Bladesinger's prow and onto the water. He walks across the surface of the water until he comes within three feet of Dionica. He bows low, sweeping his coat out to his left. "My lady. I trust that you are unharmed? I will not ask after your servant, it is quite obvious that he is not in anything vaguely resembling a fit condition. I shall have my ship's healer looks after him."

She screamed then lowered her voice, dropping to the ground crying. " It killed the children first.... It made oni grab them then fed on them first... We NEED to kill this bastard...and the reinforcements are coming today.... I know it.."

"It'll keep them fed nothing else.." Barrelex replied still nuzzling her. Then he took on a serious tone. " I think we are being followed. I saw someone in Triliment outside the Academy. What are your thoughts?"

A high-pitched yelp escaped from Kai as he felt a sharp pain hit him in the back of the head. A rock hit him. The same one that he threw behind him earlier. And it just so happenned to hit him right on his wound. Lovely. He scrambeled to his hands and knees and made his way over to where Saige was, but he didn't see her. Frowning, he leapt off of the ginormus rock and landed not-so-gracefully on his feet on the ground, a small cloud of dust circling his ankles from the impact. He looked around and saw Saige walking off to where Barrelex and....
"What the hell...?! Is Barrelex NUZZELING Taylin's face??? Honestly, who NUZZELS??" thought Kai in surprise. He really didn't wexpect Barrelex and Taylin to..... Man, this was just so.... unexpected.
Kai broke off his gaze and turned away from everyone else and began to wander. No particular reason, but the whole Barrelex X Taylin thing was a bit odd, and Kai was STILL annoyed with Saige. After a while of aimless wandering, he happenned upon Lynn, who was... not really doing anything. He ALMOST said 'hi', but decided against it.

"Nexus... you...youre ah....ah...gahnah....youre ah ganna......ah......die....." mumbeled Yuki as she slipped out of consciousness, while at the same time having her maw being pryed from Nexus.

At this point, Akume thought his head would explode. between all the whining, and all of Meera's matter-of-factly talking. And seeing Meera casually get on top of a rock and stare up at the clouds, well, that was just like the cherry on top of a FANTASTIC day.
In an icy tone, Akume sneered, "Meera.... Do you seriously think this is vacation or something? What are you doing??? Get down...!" He officially lost all patience, and was now thinking of different ways to efficiently kill Meera along with Denkou.....

The first thing Nezumi felt when he was beginning to regain consciouness was a pounding pain in his head. He could hear muffeled voices, but he couldn't make out what they were saying. Next, it felt like he was trampled by a horde of bongara. Every inch of his body ached. He winced from the pain, and was shaking from it. He wasn't sure where he was, or if he was even still alive at this point. Feeling helpless at this point, he just shifted and buried his head [painfully] in whatever thing was by him. |

Jarek and sweeps his coat around him. "Very well then." A quick gestures brings a short burly woman over the edge of the ship. At first glance she appeared to be a tall dwarf. A second glance would do nothing but reinforce the first. This was due mainly to the fact that she was a tall dwarf, or a half-dwarf to be precise. "Hilde, heal the halfling. The rest of you, prepare for combat. We've got some hunting to do." Hilde nods once and kneels by the semiconscious halfling. She begins to chant softly, her hands glowing a pale blue. "Now, M'lady, if you'd be so kind as to come aboard we shall hunt down and slay the foul dragon."

Taylin nods once and hooks a stray lock of hair behind her ear. "One can hope." She glances over at the hills a short distance away. Now was as good a time as any to divulge her information. "I was wondering if anyone else had noticed. Who ever's following us is very good at it. I've made a couple scouting trips to where I thought there camp was and as far as I can tell there are about fifteen beings out there. Most of which are goblins. There are two humans as well, based on the prints. Other than that I have no idea.

"17, huh. Nothing we can't handle. Those effigies from where this whole thing seemed to start sounded harder. Anyways, we had best pack up. I'll wake the remaining guys and could you wake the girls? I need to pack the tents." quoted Barrelex. He used a basic water spell to clean their hands after he fininshed slicing the meat, packed it up and froze the organs, throwing the kidneys at the dragonets.
"Hey Drago! Could you fly up and check for anyone nearby? preferably a rouge goblin pack with two humans? Thanks" He called out to the lounging half-dragon.

Cane yawned and stumbled over to Denkou. She smirked evilly and decided to mess with everyones minds. "Ohhhh Denkou!!! We have to so do last night again. Only this time.. with out everyone else ^_^ we can be loudder this time." She said in a sing song voice. She wrapped her arms around his neck and nipped lightly at his ear. Forcing back a laugh upon seeing Lynn look up and give her a disgusted look.

Dragogale being half a sleep now leaned forward to hear better to what Barrelex was saying,"Hey Drago! Could you fly up and check for anyone nearby? preferably a rouge goblin pack with two humans? Thanks" He nodded slightly as if he was drunk and called back,"Sure, Sure." He stood, strectched and then took off into the sky for quick surveillance. He always enjoyed flying but he knew it could dangerous for us because it would be easy to give off your position. He flew quickly around a bend in the road when he did manage to spot a group of goblins and two humans but none he recgonized. He quickly turned around to the camp to report.

"Finally I got her teeth out of leg. Ha ha victory is mine! And she'll be out for 12 or so hours." Nexus said with a cheer. He wondered where Drago disappeared to but remembered Barrelex asking him to do some surveillance. So he decided he would go back to sleep.

Barrelex noticed Nexus preparing to sleep. Grabbing his staff, he walked over to him and prodded the now wounded leg with the sculpted dragon head.
"Wake up. Some ranger you are, unable to even stay awake this early. Amazing you've survived this long. Anyways, pack up. We're leaving as soon as Dragogale reports. We've been hunted for a while. Kai, hey! I need to speak with you!" he said as he left the ranger in search of the barbarian.

Ryokhan spun his new weapon in his hands. The ring he held was about the size of a small melon, with two chains tipped with huge blades at the ends. He advanced at his Omnirogue lieutenant Nicolas, who stood there, almost bored. Pulling out a katana, the rogue advanced slowly towards his master, his blade actually dragging across the floor.
Ryokhan kept the chainblades spinning like a buzzsaw, with one mistake able to cause serious damage or death.
"Figure out how to beat these and training is-"
" Okay, alright.... Shut up, boss." Nicolas interuptted as he quickly shoved his blade into a link in the chains. Contented, he watched as the other chain tangled on the other, then pulled out a dagger and lightly tapped Ryokhan's head with the flat side.
'"Dead. Happy? Don't get pissy if I go now, alright?" He murmured at Ryokhan as he turned and slowly took off to his rock garden.

Dragogale landed softly at the entrance of the camp. It hadnt taken him that long for the scouting assignment for everything was practicly the same as when he flew off. He spotted Barrelex calling over to Kai so Dragogale just calmly walked over behind Barrelex and tapped on the shoulder.

Nexus was about to get some sleep when something hit him on the sore leg. That jolted him up to sitting position. He looked up and saw Barrelex standing over him. Barrelex just told him"Wake up. Taylin rises to her feet and ambles off in the direction he had seen Lynn go. On the way she spots the unconscious Yuki and scoops her up, slinging her over her shoulder. She spots Lynn a short distance away and skids to a stop in front of her. "Time to go. We're out of here as soon as Dragogale makes his report." She spins around and heads back to the rest of the group, checking to see if there's anyone left to round up.

Lovisa tilts her head to the side lightly and stares at the robed man standing in front of her. It was the same one that had hired her in the first place. What she really wanted to know was why he was here in the mountains. She listens to him quietly as he outlines the plans for attacking the camp. It suited her just fine. She preferred head on attacks to the more subtle ones. She turns from the man and begins to explain the new plan to her "army". The robed man turns and starts to walk away, fading from existence as he does.

Aleyah continues to walk along in silence, her arms folded into her sleeves. This was going to be a very long journey at this rate. Akume was on the verge of killing everyone, Giblo was complaining about everything, Meera was acting like nothing was going on, and Dominic was...acting like Dominic. She unconsciously digs a finger nail into her left arm, biting down on her lower lip to stifle the gasp it creates. If something didn't happen soon she was going to go insane. More insane.

Jarek sighs and nods once. "Fine, fine. I'll try to restrain myself." He snaps his fingers again and two men jump off the ship. One of them was relatively short and slender, armed with a rapier. The other was huge, built like a tank and exceedingly tall. Despite the differences in size it was obvious they were related. Both had the same basic facial features and the same long brown hair worn in a loose tail. Jarek gestures to the smaller of the two. "This is Leth and the tall one is his twin brother, Tor. They're the best warriors I have at my disposal. They will act as your sentinels." He turns to them and explains they're mission the twins nod and head towards the mountains.
