Crios, a world very much like our own. Here, everything is slightly larger, stronger and hardier than Earth. Almost twice the size of our planet, the most common creatures here are the immigrated humans. But even they must succumb to greater forces, such as the monsters and the many dominant elements.
These elements are: Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Light, Shadows, Rainbow, and Chaos. All these elements were once sealed into a gem of its own color. For Fire, the Ruby was given. The Sapphire was given to the waters. The Emerald sealed the air, and the Granite held the Earth. The Shadows and Light were both sealed into the Opal, thus warping its color. And finally, the element of Chaos was put into the Obsidian, and to balance the Chaos, Rainbow was sealed into the purest of crystals- the Diamond.
However, these elemental stones did not last. The elements that been had sealed into each of the stones broke free. The elements caused normal creatures to warp into large abnormal beasts. The most ancient and deadly were the dragons, as each had a part of the elements in them. Finally the decision was made by the high mages of the elemental lands to allow the elements to roam-all except the elements of Chaos and Rainbow, the two most unstable of the elements. Then after five years of coaxing the three gods to loan their power to forge twin blades of unimaginable power, the deal was struck. They chose the obsidian bladed scimitar known as the Grim Reaver to contain the entire element of Chaos and the clear diamond sword known as the Legator or the Legacy Blade to contain the element of Rainbow.
But even these leaked the awesome energies, the Reaver more than the Legator. When the gods found this out, they went to collect the blades and placed them on separate ends of the globe. This separation caused the land to split into two and created multiple islands in between, a cluster of them soon to be known as the Demon Archipelago…
